Waters Edge Care home is celebrating after being awarded a ‘Good’ rating in a recent Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection.
The CQC – the health and social care regulator for England – carried out an unannounced visit of Waters Edge Care Home, Stafford Road, on the 6th December 2022 to inspect its standards of care and safety.
The CQC report found Waters Edge a specialist residential dementia care home to be Good in all five areas of the inspection which included how safe, effective, well-led, caring and responsive the care home is.
Residents interviewed during the visit said they were happy, felt safe and staff are well trained. The CQC inspectors also interviewed relatives who mentioned staff go out of their way to support relatives.
The inspection also found Waters Edge to be a spacious well-led service with communal areas that suit people’s needs . It mentioned that people’s care, treatment and support achieved good outcomes and promoted a good quality of life.
