A host of farmyard friends spread a little animal magic when they visited two Great Wyrley care homes.
The Mini Farm set up there mobile farm in the gardens of Lakeview on May 23.
The visit enabled elderly residents at the homes to experience the sights, sounds and feel of the farm in the safety of the care home environment.
Staff and residents at the homes on Stafford Road run by Alpha Health Care, welcomed a range of animals during the event, including pygmy goats, lambs, hens, rabbits and Vietnamese pot bellied pigs.
The Mini Farm visit was part of Dementia Action Week activities organised at the homes, in support of the Alzheimers Society UK.
Dementia Action Week took place from 21-27 May and is all about taking actions big and small to improve the lives of people affected by dementia.
Andrea Walker, Lakeview care home manager, said: “All the residents and staff at Lakeview and Waters Edge had a wonderful day and it was great to see so many of our residents enjoying spending time with the animals it will be a great day.
We try and support the Alzheimers Society whenever we can as our daily goal is to positively improve the quality of life of our residents in a safe, warm and caring environment”
