The Lakes have been celebrating the festive period with a month of event’s and activities including Entertainment, Christmas Parties, a German Market and it’s very own Pantomime.
A production of Scrooge helped residents at a care home in Great Wryley get into the festive spirit without leaving the comfort of their armchairs.
The lounge at Waters Edge Care Home was transformed into a mini stage as the company North East productions performed the popular pantomime for residents, guests and staff.
The show took the audience back to the good old days of traditional entertainment with music, jokes and plenty of songs to sing along to.
Sandra Potts , Care Home manager at Waters Edge said: “The residents had all been looking forward to the pantomime and it was great that we were able arrange a performance for them all in the home.
“Christmas is a busy time for us and we try to plan as many events and activities as we can to get into the Christmas spirit”
