Life at Waters Edge Care Home
Our key belief is that both residents and visitors to Waters Edge should see, hear and feel that they are at “home”. Life at our care home is all about encouraging everyone to lead as normal and as active life as they wish, including visits from family and friends who are welcome to drop in anytime and enjoy trips out whenever possible.
At Waters Edge we provide a safe and secure environment for all of our residents. Each resident has a personalised care plan which reflects their own individualised care and which is designed to suit them best.
Our belief is that understanding a residents’ past is critical to helping their future and our care plans reflect the most significant elements of their lives including; family, pets, interests, work and leisure.
Moving in
Our team understand that a loved one’s move into a care home can be a difficult time. We try to make the move as easy as we can and will be happy to spend time with you planning for the move. We will also discuss with you a number of useful and practical things you may wish to consider.
We appreciate the importance of people’s emotions and treasured possessions and are happy for residents to bring along any belongings which help in their transition from home to life at Waters Edge.
Our Home
Waters Edge is a two storey purpose built care home where our residents are able to enjoy a large communal lounge and separate dining room on each floor as well as a café and a pub! We have a beautiful landscaped dementia friendly garden which is enclosed and secure for residents to enjoy all year round.
We are able to offer residents spacious accommodation in a range of single and luxury rooms all with en-suite facilities.
Enjoying great food
At Waters Edge we strive to ensure that all food served is nutritious, varied and tastes great!
We recognise that meal times are an important part of the day and it’s an important element of care so menu choices are carefully planned to make mealtimes special.
Residents play a key role in the decision making process of choosing what they would like to see on the menu; in fact meals and menu planning are often a lively discussion during our monthly residents meetings. We also cater for residents with any special dietary needs or dietary requirements.
