Lakeview care home based in Great Wyrley near Walsall is celebrating after being awarded a ‘good’ rating in a recent Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection.
The CQC – the health and social care regulator for England – carried out an unannounced visit of Lakeview Care Home, on Stafford Road, to inspect its standards of care and safety. The CQC awarded the home an overall rating of Good in all five of the key areas.
Residents interviewed during the visit said they felt safe, the staff are well trained and very caring.
The inspection also found Lakeview to have a strong person-centred culture, residents were treated with kindness and respect and the atmosphere in the home was very positive.
Felicity Somerville, Care Home Manager at Lakeview, said: “We are thrilled that after its recent CQC inspection, Lakeview has been awarded a ‘good’ rating in all areas.
“This is a real achievement for Lakeview and a reflection of the hard work and dedication of all the staff.
